About Us
The Magic Mitre was invented through pure frustration. Frustration and the realisation that no wall is perfect. Whether cutting base board, coving, architrave or chair rail; each and every wall, ceiling and floor is different.
So, we created a tool that fits the mitre to the exact angle, not just a pre-determined 45 or 90 degrees.
The Invention
Our Founder is a master carpenter in the UK, who owned a construction company building homes. He invented a perfect solution specifically to address the issue of the non-perfect wall angle.
Development and engineering of prototypes was undertaken by the inventor's family with the first prototype being exhibited at the 1997 Geneva International Inventors Exhibition where the product was awarded a gold medal.
The product was first exhibited in North America at the Chicago Hardware Show in August 2001 and was selected from over 150,000 products to receive the coveted Retailers Choice Award.
Sale of the product under the "MAGIC MITRE" brand name now extends to over twelve countries.
